If you are a follower of mine, you may know that I am officially part of SKIN by John Robert Powers as one of their Influencer and I am very excited to share my experience using their products. For now, I'll give you some updates on how it is working for me and some information about the brand. 

So I reached out to Miss Dani De Leon, Skin by JRP's brand manager and asked her more about SKIN by John Robert Powers. Thank you so much, Miss Dani!

SKIN by John Robert Powers had it's Soft Online Launch last May 2017. As mentioned by her, the brand is called SKIN by John Robert Powers because it is aligned with the curriculum and promise of JOHN ROBERT POWERS.

Last June 16th, I attended SKIN by JRP's second Glam Talk with Miss Sharms de Castro where we tackled about Basic Makeup and a little more about Skin Care. It was a great experience, I had a lot of takeaways especially now that I am into Beauty Blogging, it gave me more idea on how we should properly take good care of our skin. They gave me a Glam Kit, containing some of their products which includes Hydrating Toner, Soothing Day Cream, Rejuvenating Night Cream and one Lip Color on the shade Pale Rose. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and here are some of my thoughts.

HYDRATING TONER

As you may know, I have an Oily to Combination type of skin, so they gave me this Hydrating Toner. It's a milky type of toner.

I did some research about the products and it states that it is formulated with mulberry and green tea leaf extracts that are rich in antioxidants which claims that it promotes a youthful, nourished, blemish-free complexion; whitens and brightens with niacinamide; leaves your complexion noticeably more radiant; non-comedogenic, hypo-allergenic and it is perfect for bringing out your natural glow! Wow, right? USAGE: Use twice a day. Moist a clean cotton ball and swab onto cleansed skin in a circular motion.

I actually love how this toner is not strong, it doesn't sting like any other toners. It's a milky type of toner, and it does hydrate some parts of my skin that are dry.  So that's a good job since it is what they claim about this toner.

With the packaging, it is quite big (200ml) so I think it would last me 2-3 months, but let's see. For the price, it retails for ₱349.00 per bottle, it's actually not that pricey for a toner with that size, so I can say it is a smart buy with how it works for me. They also have another toner, which is for Oily to Normal Skin type. It's the Clarifying Toner which also cost the same.

There's an argument about using Moisturizer here in the Philippines, it is because of how our weather is, but you always need to remember that your skin needs moisture! Dry, Oily, Normal to Combination type of skin you need moisture! Moisturizing reduces the chances of skin problems, reduces the appearance of blemishes and fights wrinkles. So remember to use the best Moisturizer that suits your skin!

So going back, I did some research as well about this Day Cream which has SPF 15 and it says that this "Nourishes, hydrates, and conditions skin; protects against harmful UVA and UVB rays; helps prevent dark spots, sunburn, and premature aging with broad-spectrum protection; provides intensive moisturization with sodium hyaluronate; soothes with green tea extract rich in antioxidants and glycerin, non-comedogenic, hypo-allergenic" - BeautyMNL

Usage: Apply evenly on the cleansed face before applying makeup. Reapply at frequent intervals if staying long under the sun or outdoors, especially after perspiring.

MY REVIEW ABOUT THE SOOTHING DAY CREAM

I don't know where to start with this Day Cream! I love how powder finish it is. It's a white cream and smells like the popular brand "P****" but a little different, not that strong of a smell, but more likely same. I actually used this as my makeup base and it does give a lot of difference, my foundation sets well with it. I also love how it moisturizes my face after using my cleanser and toner. I used Biore's Baking Soda Acne Cleansing Foam and I notice that it dries some part of my skin, so this day cream plus the night cream work wonders! I do have one con about it, which is if you used it and it's too hot or you are on the go and didn't wear any makeup and just the moisturizer, it causes me to sweat more, and it feels watery but not sticky. Not sure why it happens but overall it is a great moisturizer!

REJUVENATING NIGHT CREAM

If you ask me what is my go-to moisturizer it would be this one, I know Day Cream is a must since I work and it has SPF, but this one, I'm in love. As mentioned on BeautyMNL's Fast Facts, it reveals a more radiant and supple face in the morning; formulated with ceramide to rebuild the skin’s natural barrier and protect against moisture loss; keeps your skin soft and supple with shea butter and glycerin; non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic. It's a deep-absorbing night cream that restores and rejuvenates tired skin. Yes, tired skin, that is why I love this night cream so much!

USAGE: Apply an adequate amount throughout the forehead, nose, chin and neck using your middle and ring fingers and gently massage in a circular and upward motion.

MY REVIEW ABOUT REJUVENATING NIGHT CREAM

As mentioned above, I love love love this night cream, it looks like a silicony type of moisturizer, it's odorless, that is also why I love this product since it won't bother your night time relaxation with how it smells. I notice how smooth my skin is after it dries out, and in the morning, oh my god, it's different from before, usually, I wake up with an oily face but ever since I started using this I don't wake up with an oily sticky face, I swear no joke! This is why it's my go-to favorite moisturizer, I can use this on daytime, whenever I want because I love how it works on my skin. Hahaha.

With both moisturizers, their packaging looks classy and clean, it's in a 50g container, and both moisturizers costs ₱895.00 each. For me, it's a little bit pricey but these moisturizers you can last them up to 1-2 months, a little goes a long way I swear.

MOISTURIZING LIP COLOR WITH SUNSCREEN PROTECTION

Yes, you read it right, this is a moisturizing lipstick with Sunscreen Protection! SKIN by John Robert Powers got you when you said you need a lip product that protects your lips skin! As mentioned on their website, it is formulated with Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil – lip-loving ingredients that instantly softens moisturizes and plumps up that pucker.  With the added bonus of sunscreen for immediate protection against the sun’s harmful UV rays. It comes in six gorgeous shades, the one I have is Pale Rose the others are, Crimson Pink, Power Red, Daily Beige, Evening Plum and Coral Dream.

MY REVIEW ABOUT THIS MOISTURIZING LIP COLORS

Would you believe when I said, that I fell in love with this color from the day of the event? This was my first choice of lip color when they asked me which one I like. And it suits me very well! Of course, it does because SKIN by John Robert Powers thought about Filipina Skin Tone when they formulated this Lip Colors, they said, that they made sure that all of the colors suits every Filipina's skin tone, and it does. I love how moisturizing it is, I always had dry lips ever since, and this lipstick was amazing, it doesn't cause any dryness on my lips.

I hope you don't mind, but I have a story to tell, as a Mom, I tend to kiss my son every single time, especially when I'm about to go to work, I give him kisses all over his cheeks. I do my makeup at home, from foundations, cheek color to mascara, and I leave my lips untouched since I'm afraid putting lipstick on and kissing him after would leave a stain and give him irritations. But when I started using this lip color, I swear, I was confident to leave lip stains on his cheeks, and guess what, I've been doing it for days (not all the time) and his skin never reacts to it, he also loves it when he see's kiss marks on his cheeks, he laughs like he loves it. So kudos to SKIN by John Robert Powers with how great their products are.

Packaging for this is so sophisticated, believe me when I said, it's still is in its box, I'm afraid it would have marks or anything like that because it is so beautiful. I know I am exaggerating, but swear, I love the glittery feeling on their packaging. Each lip color retails for ₱499.00 each and weighs 4g.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I have here a photo of me before the event and after two weeks of me using these products together with my other Skin Care products, I used the same cleanser, serum, I just added the Hydrating Toner, Soothing Day Cream and Rejuvenating Night Cream from SKIN by John Robert Powers and this is the difference. These photos are still from last week, will update you guys after I finished these products, to see how different it would be from now.
